I am not as bad as rr, but I can stand colder temps now than I could before I went to japan----and I can handle some hotter ones as well (the first week I was there I was still wearing my wind breaker--I arrived the end of july, it was 90+(f) with just as much humidity...yeah it was a bit warm, but nothing I couldnt handle )

living there just messed up me inner thermostat.....though it never got below freezing for long (not long enough to kill off the mosquitoes even --needs to be 27 for at least 3 hours for that--its called a hard freeze)...it did get over 100 (41) with enough humidity to rust my stainless steel shoe horn! (now you know why they make lots of stuff from plastic instead of metal---plastic doesnt rust).

I've decided to do something about my fatness/lazyness.

I'll start swimming every day, run 2-3 times a week, only drink 1 glass of soda per day, no more fastfood, decent food habits.

In 6 months, i hope to be down to 110 kg, (at 126kg now).

wow, still not overweight by any stretch of the imagination....but good luck. Just cutting out soda will do a lot (drinking water instead), since most of soda is just empty calories and caffeine (for lots of them).

I liked swimming, I just dont like having to wash my hair afterwards (and no I will not cut it--it would STILL take hours to dry).....ah well, I hurt some ribs the other day so I am not doing much besides resting for now

Good for you azzer. I'm giving up soda myself as well, I'm not overweight and am in pretty good shape, but I would like to be thinner. So slowly working towards it. A few years ago I did give up soda for half a year and lost 15 pounds just by not drinking soda (I work out at least 3 times a week so that didn't change).

Swimming is great exercise, in the summer I love coming home from work and swimming laps in my pool. Great workout.

The caffeine in it. It doesn't cause you to really "gain" weight, but it does make it harder for you to lose weight. According to some studies, caffeine contributes to insulin resistance, which makes it harder to lose weight, increases appetite and can increase food cravings. So even though Coke Zero has zero calories, other aspects of it make it harder to lose weight and if you eat more and give into the cravings more, you will gain weight.

(Source, since some of it is straight from it, even though it is Answers.com: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Does_caffe...er_weight_loss)

Sweet, i think i'll just stick to 1 glass of soda though, as i'm really addicted to that shít ;(

Good start of the day, 1 piece of bread for breakfast, and a walk for 30 minutes, gonna walk 3*30 minutes per day, to start with, or my heart will probably stop :P

It is hard to stop drinking soda. Caffeine is a bit addicting and especially when the only other option that isn't bad for you is water. Water has no taste (usually anyways) and soda tastes good. But oh well. So far so good for me.

Next semester when I live at home I'll be able to have breakfast again. Just not enough time to get breakfast here.

Go with Iced Tea. It's got the caffeine (not as much and its natural) and if you dont sugar it down like those southern people do there isnt any sugar in it. =)

green tea is my caffeine of choice (supposed to be good for ya...but that is mostly a smoke screen since the amount you would need to drink is astronomical--though if peeps are drinking tea, they usually stop drinking high fructose laced soda which is why they see improvements --moving away from the bad stuff)..

though I do also drink some juices (grapefruit is one of my favs as is grape)....and milk--both soy and the cow type (but not often as the fat content is a bit too much for me--and the non-fat stuff tastes worse than my water here-which we dont drink).

ah the discussion of food stuffs

I am actually starting to dislike sodas. Coke is awful and I drink Sprite because it's the only drink at a fast food that I like (aside water, but when you ask for it, it takes more time and I'm not patient with food xD).

Never understood why people loved tea (it's close to tasteless for me) and I don't drink coffee.

Only drink milk with cereals.
Now fruit juices I love orange, apple, guava, pineapple and banana.

I don't have breakfast...never hungry in the morning.

Well going to the university is making me walk a lot ^^.

walking is GREAT exercise (as long as its not the slow windowshopping type)....my hubby used to walk to work and now that he changed jobs (a few years back) he drives and has gained a bit of weight ......and since we are a weeeeee bit older, its getting harder to get rid of and then keep off.....

teas....japanese type--not the crummy lipton junk (looks and tastes like dishwater-bleh) ....or the good ole earl grey....never liked tea as a kid (was one of those when you got sick you could have things)....and only started to appreciate it when I had to drink it every morning in japan ( a cup of nice hot green tea in the winter and very cold mughi tea in the summer)....

I don't like tea either Red. Never could get used to the taste/lack of taste. Water is definitely the best thing to drink if you are trying to lose weight imo. Even Gatorade has calories in it and I find that is best to drink after a workout, which I do by drinking G2 (low calorie Gatorade). Works for me I guess.

I go Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings with my gf to workout. She likes to use the elliptical machines so that is what we do. I would prefer to run on the track but she wants to do the elliptical, so we do what she wants. Oh well, it still gives you a good work out. I would run on the treadmills but those make me knee hurt thanks to me screwing it up years ago. Come to think of it, that was like 5 years ago that I did that... Wow...

My family drinks Chinese tea. Don't know if there is any difference but the taste is too..."planty" (xD) for me.

...I totally forgot about Gatorade/Powerade. A few years back I could drink liters of that thing. But it's not something I buy and right now I prefer to not waste money on things like that (good taste, but kind of expensive for what it is...Yes I'm looking at you delicious Ferrero Rocher <3 T_T ) and I'm not even sure if they sell that around here...I'll check tomorrow.

Never broke a bone except maybe a toe, not sure because I never went to the doctor, but it hurt for a few months. And that painful time a 80 pound paper bloc fell on my big toe...poor big toe suffered a lot of thing. And there was that time I did a bad body surf and heard a little breaking sound coming from my spine and had to drag myself out of the sea because I couldn't stand for like 10 minutes (that I was really really scared for the next 10 hours because 2 hours later I started to get a massive headache and could barely eat anything and when I laugh it hurt >.<).

My hands are accustomed to sharp objects...razor blades, nails, knives...I like cutting things in a "weird" way and right now three of my fingertips are a little bit cut...
I even cut my lip with a piece of paper...it was awful...the wound wouldn't close up because my friend kept laughing at me which made me laugh. And blood has an awful taste.
I'm not generally clumsy (although sometime half of my body hits a wall...I sometime don't evaluate the distance...) but when I'm focusing on something else I am somewhat clumsy.
But as long as it doesn't cause any scars I'm happy.

It's like I'm almost on week-end : less than 6 classes .

red, I am glad you dont think of yourself as clumsy....but if you read what you wrote about.....
I am not clumsy, but I have been in the wrong places at times (like the time I was helping an employee with her computer....I didnt realize she had opened her desk drawer so when I went to leave her desk my knee and the corner of this metal desk drawer collided...well that was the only time I have had stitches....called my husband and my doctor--picked up my husband and then I drove to the docs office....hubby almost fainted from just looking at the needle!).....otherwise I have had only 2 broken bones (one was my nose --I was 18 months old and partially blind, I tripped into a table...the other was a stress fracture of my 2nd toe from doing too much walking)...nothing I would call clumsy.
Now dizzy....that is another story

its all relative
